Dropbox

Dropbox is a Web 2.0 and file hosting service platform in the cloud. Dropbox allows the user to share, upload, download, etc.. from differents computers connected to Internet. The Dropbox's account  can be free or payment, every one with differents advantages.

Dropbox counts with more of twenty five milions users, a total of one hundred and seventy-five countries. Since April 2011, it is with spanish. It does he same function as a USB, but the USB you always carry on, and Dropbox is uploaded to the Internet.

Dropbox offers the possibility to have an application on your mobile device, iTouch, computeror other device with Internet connection.

Dipity

Dipity is a Web 2.0 where the users can do interective timeline about what they want. The frieze can be past, present or future and any year, day or century.

An advantatge is that the registration is optional, isn't necessary to give your email or personal information. It born in April 2008 and Dipity only is in english.

Glogster

Glogster is a Web 2.0 that offers the possibility to create digital posters with videos, musics, images, etc. The users ussually use the Glogster to:

· Presentation of research projects. 

· Making posters and informative animation on readings taken in any subject.

· Ads, advertising campaigns.

· Guides.

· Biographies.

· Reports.

Glogster is free and it offers an application to the schools (Glogster EDU). The schools must create an account and then can enroll 200 students to share their glogsters between them. So the students can share their work and show them to his companions andteacher.

Glogster born in November 2007 and Glogster EDU born in 2009. Glogster only is in english and portugese.

Prezi

Prezi is a Web 2.0. Iy use to create presentations online. Is better than others programms (Microsoft PowerPoint, OpenOffice, etc.) because its structure isn't linear, where the users can zoom or reduce the screen everything they want. If you want to create your acoount in Prezi have four differents forms to register:

- Prezi Public: It's free but offers less resources.

- Prezi Enjoy: It isn't free but offers more rresources than Public.

- Prezi Pro: It isn't free (It's expensive) and ofers all the resources of Prezi.

- Student/Teacher Licenses: This license does discount to the three previous accounts.

Prezi born in 2006 in Budapest (Hungria), but officially born in 2008 and in 2010, the office was officially moved to San Francisco.

Delicious

Delicious is a Web 2.0 that services for save the direct access of a web page that you want. Is as the "Favourite" of your navegator but with a difference: Delicious is a service of Internet, so it is connected to network.

Delicious born in 2003 and in 2005, Yahoo! bought it, but Delicious continues to be a independent page. The 2.0 version left in 2008. For some months (December of 2011), AVOS (Company founder of Youtube) bought it to Yahoo!.

Register in Delicious is really easy and free, giving your email account you already have made the Delicious' account.

Twitter

Twitter (or SMS from Internet) is a Web 2.0 and microblogging that leaves to do to the users to post text messages. Unlike the social networks, Twitter can't add friends between friends, but users can track you want without permission of the user. 

This microblogging is the most used of the world, creating sixty five milion of tweets by day. It born in San Francisco, California in 2006, but is under jurisdiction of Delawere state, USA.

Twitter has always had a great rivalry with Facebook despite being so different. Register to Twitter is more easy and free, simply go to principal page and give your personal data and email.

Picasa

Picasa is an application of Google and it's free. We use to post our images of the our computer that we want to upload in Internet because all the world see it.

With Picasa we can add your localitation, to create presentations and collages, to identify faces, to edit the images and many things more insterestings.
Picasa born in California at the beiginning of the present decade until 2004, that google bought the company. Nowadays, Picasa is in thirthy eight languages and since recently Picasa has a version for Mac.
To use the Picasa you have to do the application on your computer, for this if you go in the link web, it will be asked to download the application. When you download it, will apear in your computer desk the application for Picasa. You can connect the application with Internet, is really easy.

Vimeo

Vimeo is a Web 2.0 and a social red and the users use it for upload their videos. Is really similar to Youtube and since 2007 can be upload videos HD. 


Personally, I tink that Vimeo is better than Youtube, because is more sure and there aren't videos not apt and/or legals.

Vimeo born in 2004 and has got a free aplication for iPhones ans iTouchs. It allows us to create own channels but we can't upload videoclips with copyright, pornography videos or videos that aren't made by us. There are two types of Vimeo: 

-Vimeo Plus: Isn't free but offers many advantatges, for exemple, unlinited HD uploading.

-Vimeo Basic: Is free but hasn't got many advantatges as the other.

Slideshare

SlideShare is a Web 2.0 where the users may to upload or to do presentations in Web. It born in 2006 and is compared with youtube. It is free and  sign up is easy, or connect your facebook account or create an account with email.

Slideshare allows you to upload presentations of different formats, for exemple: PowerPoint or PDF. The presentatios are publics or privates. This page born in 4th February of 2006 and it recide twelves milion of visits for month.

Scrib is a Web 2.0 that allows users to post documents in Inernet. this documents may be of differents programs, for exemple: .doc (Microsoft Word) or .odt (Opendocuments). 

Scribd also offers a application for connect from many mobile decive, iTouch or a similar device. As well, It is similar to Issu and Docstoc.

Scribd has recived numerous awards and in 2008 was one of the 20 most visited social networks in the computer world. If you want, this documents only see you or your friends, or also, may be public.
